Italy visit...

We did our first meeting in Italy between 17th-21st October and we decided the schedule of the project. Some duties were distributed to some of the partners and we also chose our project's logo...10/2011

Monday 17/10/2011
Arrival of all groups - Welcoming and hotel arrangements.
06.00 p.m. visit to the “Maddalena” and drink offered by the confraternity “La Maddalena”
08.30 p.m. Welcome dinner offered by “Lions Club” Novi Ligure

Tuesday 18/10/2011
09.00 a.m. : Welcoming at the 1° Circolo Didattico Novi Ligure
Meeting with all colleagues.
Visiting the classes of the school and performance by its students.
10.30 a.m. : Visit the High School “Amaldi”
12.00 a.m.: Meeting with Local Authorities at the Town Hall.
Lunch at the restaurant “L’Angelo”.
04.30 p.m.: project meeting - discussions
Evening: the historical centre of the town.
08.30 p.m. : Dinner.

01.30 p.m.: Lunch
Afternoon: Back to Novi Ligure, working time.
08.30 p.m. Dinner at the restaurant “Verdi”

Italy visit



Above you can find the schedule of the Italy visit. On the first day we arrived to the town centre of Novi Ligure at around 6:00 p.m. and our Italian partner welcomed us warmly at the train station. After the welcoming ceremony they took us to the hotel where we will stay. And after coming all the other partners firstly they took us to the central church “Maddalena”, it was an historical building dated back to 16th century, the priest gave us information about the figures inside the building and the history of the building. Then we went to a restaurant for the welcome dinner offered by Lions Club – Novi Ligure. We had an opportunity to taste different Italian dish there, the dinner was very nice and we had an enjoyable time there. After the dinner we came to our hotel and said goodnight to meet at nine o’clock in the morning.
On the second day, firstly we went to the primary school 1° Circolo Didattico Novi Ligure. We met the colleagues and had a school tour there. We visited the classes and saw some performances by the students. We had an opinion about the education of Italy. After that we visited the high school “Amaldi”. There we met the principal and visited the classes. At about 1:00 p.m., we visited the Town Hall and me the local authorities there. They welcomed us and we gave them information about the project. At about 1:30 pm we went to a restaurant for the lunch. We had our lunch there and tasted different food there. At about 4.30 p.m we came to school back and studied on our project until 7:00 p.m. Firstly we discussed about the logo of the project and the logo of Portugal was chosen as our project logo. And then we discussed about the next country which will be the host of the second work visit. In the evening we visited the centre of the town and went to dinner.

On the third day, we got up early in the morning and went to Torin. We visited the city centre of the Torin and saw the historical buildings of the city. At lunch we ate a famous restaurant in Torin and tasted special meals of Italian cuisine. After that we came back to Novi Ligure and started to work on the project at 4:00 p.m. We worked until 7:00 p.m. and checked the dates of the other meetings availability for all the partners. We discussed the ongoing and oncoming activities, distributed the duties of Bulgaria and Romania to other partners and made the schedule of the project again. After the work at school we came back to our hotels and had a rest until the dinner at 8:30 p.m. At 8:30 we met in the reception and went to a restaurant called “Verdi” at the restaurant we tasted different kinds of Italian pizza. After the dinner we came back to our hotels and said goodnight for the next morning.

On the fourth day, at 9:00 a.m. we met in the reception and started to our journey to Genoa. The city was full of different historical buildings we had an opportunity to see these historical buildings and the nice view of the harbour. At lunch time we ate our lunch at a famous restaurant there and tasted the delicious Italian meals. After the dinner we continued our tour and in the city and then we came back to Novi Ligure at 4:30 p.m. We visited the museum of cycling there. Novi Ligure is famous for being the birthplace of two champions of Italian cycling: Constante Girardengo and Fausto Coppi. In 2003 was inaugurated the Museum of “Super Champions” (from the nickname by the two great cyclists were called), an extensive exhibition of 3,000 square meters dedicated to the history of cycling, cycle racing and the two champions. After the visit of the cycling museum we came back to our hotels and met at 9:00 p.m. for the goodbye dinner. The goodbye dinner was again very good, especially the atmosphere and the dialogues among the partners were very warm, at the end of the dinner, and we presented our good wishes for the partners and the future of our project. We gave our presents to each other and said good bye until the next visit in UK.

On the fifth day we got up very early and set our journey back to our home towns. Italy visit was a big opportunity for every partner to see their culture and educational system. We want to thank to our Italian partners again for the friendly welcoming, warm interest and nice hospitability for us during the visit.
